An Exceptional Family With An Exceptional Home.

Our Brewpub at 2516 Market Avenue is conveniently located in Cleveland’s charming Ohio City neighborhood, across from the historic West Side Market and only minutes from downtown.

The Brewpub is a merger of three Victorian era buildings that originally housed the Elton (a former hotel, saloon and burlesque house, and now the Gift Shop and offices), McClean’s Feed & Seed Company (now the Brewhouse; the Beer Garden served as a livery stable), and the Market Tavern, a popular watering hole for Cleveland’s legal professionals, including Eliot Ness, former leader of Chicago’s “Untouchables.” Ask your bartender to point out the bar’s bullet holes, which are rumored to have come from Ness himself. That’s right: you can sit where Eliot Ness sat, sipping a pint of Eliot Ness® Amber Lager.

Our historic Brewpub has the kind of character that can turn every business lunch, happy hour meetup, or dinner with friends into a special occasion. While you’re here, browse the extensive collection of vintage brewing memorabilia and artifacts that decorate our walls. Swap stories with our bartending and serving staff, who treat every guest like a regular.

The Brewpub menu features fresh local produce, some of which is grown on our Pint Size Farm and Ohio City Farm. When you dine in the GLBC Brewpub, you’re supporting local farmers and vendors who share our Triple Bottom Line philosophy and commitment to quality and freshness. And nothing pairs better with high-quality, locally sourced food than fresh handcrafted lagers and ales. Ask your server to recommend the perfect pairing for your entrée.

The Brewhouse: While you work on your first pint, watch our brewers craft your next Pub Exclusive brew on the smaller brewing tanks we’ve used since our early days. That’s about as fresh as fresh can get!

The Taproom: Home to Cleveland’s oldest antique Tiger Mahogany bar (circa 1860), the warm and welcoming Taproom is a hotspot for locals and visitors seeking an authentic Cleveland experience.

The Beer Garden: Our eco-friendly indoor/outdoor dining area keeps you cool in the summer with a retractable canvas roof and warm in the winter with its straw-bale walls and radiant heat floor and fireplace.

The Beer Cellar: Escape from the daylight and venture downstairs to our turn-of-the-century “rathskeller” complete with stone walls, brick floors, fermentation tanks, and a wooden bar.

  • Select Mondays: Live Music from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Every Thursday: Firkin Thursday starting at 4:00 PM

The Avenue: We’re proud to provide one of Cleveland’s best al fresco dining experiences on our expansive, tree-lined outdoor brick patio. When the weather’s agreeable, have a seat at a bistro table and observe the neighborhood bustle. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.

The Gift Shop: Connected to the Brewpub, the Gift Shop features a gorgeous brick and hardwood interior and a diverse selection of souvenirs to commemorate your visit. Purchase Brewery-fresh kegs and bottles from the Gift Shop cooler.

The Market Room: Climb the stairs from our Taproom and discover this recently remodeled dining area, which features bistro tables and booths made from reclaimed Cleveland wood, plus a beautiful collection of beer memorabilia, including the ornate headboard of Leonard Schlather, owner of Cleveland’s historic Schlather Brewing Company (which is now home to our Production Brewery).

The Rockefeller Room: Adjacent to the Market Room and named after John D. Rockefeller, who allegedly toiled as a bookkeeper in this very space, our recently remodeled Rockefeller Room features booths, bistro tables, and a bar crafted from reclaimed Cleveland wood.
