In keeping with our Triple Bottom Line philosophy--to engage in economic, social and environmental practices that achieve a sustainable, yet profitable business—it is our mission to support local non-profits and community organizations with a focus on:

  • Sustainability
  • Arts and Culture
  • Community Development
  • Water Conservation and Preservation
  • Environmental Causes

Due to the large number of requests we receive, the following guidelines have been established for your convenience:

Timing:
Requests must be made a minimum of 30 days prior to the event date. If your event is within 30 days of your request, it will be declined. Organizations (if approved) can only receive one (1) donation per calendar year

Location:
We only accept charitable requests for the Greater Cleveland and Akron/Canton areas at this time. If we distribute in your state and you are interested in submitting a donation request, please reach out to a member of our sales team in your area.

Online Submissions:
All charitable donation requests must be made via the below online donation form. We cannot accept mailed documents, emails, or social media requests for charitable donations.

Campaigning for other Corporations’ Fund Raising Goals within your organization:
Great Lakes Brewing Company is unable to donate to companies holding campaigns for other organizations such as United Way, American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, etc. We contribute to these very worthwhile organizations directly.

Great Lakes Brewing Company respectfully declines to support the following:

  • Requests intended for personal or corporate profit
  • Personal events such as weddings and birthday parties (we’re happy for you, but we can’t supply the keg—sorry!)
  • Sports teams/bands or musicians: there are simply too many bands and sports teams—we won’t play favorites!
  • PTA groups, school events, and events involving children: though the kids may not be present for your event, we feel mixing alcohol with events for kids does not send an appropriate message

Great Lakes Brewing Company reserves the right to support our employees and their families. If you do see us present at any of the above events, chances are we’re just making a small contribution to a cause or event involving one of our employees.
