Blogger: Robert “Bobby” Massie
After the massive heat wave Cleveland encountered this past holiday weekend, I think it’s time to cool down with a beer and beer blogger feature. Great Lakes Brewing Company would like everyone to meet a dedicated craft beer enthusiast who sampled over 650 beers in 2010! Bobby Massie from Bobby Likes Beer is taking one for the team so you don’t have to.
In 2010, Bobby thought it was only appropriate to bring his passion for beer to the world wide web and officially launched Bobby Likes Beer with a GLBC treasure, The Jabberwocky (check out other GLBC reviews including Barrel Aged Blackout Stout). When visiting Bobby’s site, you’ll undergo an educational brew experience instead of a quick beer review. Bobby reports on the best places to savor craft beers and where the local craft events are happening in Cleveland. Followers of Bobby Likes Beer will soon be able to see what Bobby’s got in his cellar and vote on which beer Bobby should drink next (apparently Bobby also likes to be referred to in the third person!).
I’ve said this many times, but Cleveland is a craft beer city, and Clevelanders should take pride in the resources we have right in our own backyard. Bobby feels very lucky to live during the craft beer revolution and wants to inspire readers to seek out new brews and support their local breweries.
I would like to end our feature with a quote from Bobby’s blog that I think everyone can appreciate:
“The most important thing to remember as you browse my site is that beer is wonderful. Savor it, respect it, share with friends and enjoy beer culture and events. Support your local brewery and choose fresh, handcrafted beer whenever you can! The reward is in the glass. Cheers, Prost, Slainte, and Salute!”
