Is First Pour happening in 2020?
Yes! The First Pour will take place on Thursday, October 22. Because we want to make sure your First Pour is safe and enjoyable, we are excited to announce two ways you can celebrate that first festive taste. Are reservations required to attend First Pour?
Yes! To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers, reservations are required to attend First Pour of 2020. Make your reservation here.
Will any walk-ups be permitted on First Pour day?
Sorry, no walk-ups. In an effort to follow all safety and health regulations, attendees must have a reservation to attend this year’s First Pour. Standing room will not be permitted at any time. Make your reservation here.
Lining up outside of the brewpub is one of my favorite traditions of First Pour! Can I still do it this year?
To help maintain physical distancing, lines will not be permitted outside of the brewpub at any time. With reservations required to attend this year’s event, you will not have to worry about getting here early for a seat. Make your reservation here.
Will people still be able to crowd around the bar to watch the official First Pour?
Unfortunately, no, but we cannot wait to serve you your own First Pour of Christmas Ale at your table.
Will masks be required at First Pour?
Masks are required for entry and must be worn properly when not sitting at a table. Standing room will not be available at any time. Guests who do not follow our mask or physical distancing policies will be asked to leave. We thank you in advance for doing your part in keeping our staff and fellow guests safe!
What are you doing to keep customers and staff safe?
We are going above and beyond to follow all health and safety regulations required by the State of Ohio and City of Cleveland. A number of safety protocols have been put in place, including a contactless ordering system, tables spread out at distances of at least 6 feet, strict limits on overall capacity in all shared spaces, and more. Can I still dress up?
Of course and we hope that you do! Bonus point if your mask matches your outfit!
What if I want to enjoy my First Pour at home?

When will Christmas Ale hit the gift shop?
Packaged Christmas Ale will be available in the gift shop beginning Friday, October 23.
When will bottles of Christmas Ale arrive at a retailer near me?
Packaged Christmas Ale will be distributed across GLBC’s distribution footprint beginning Monday, October 26.
Will there be any First Pour events outside of Cleveland?
We think so! First Pour events outside of Cleveland may vary from city to city. Stay tuned!
What if I want a keg of Christmas Ale?
A limited number 1/6 barrel kegs of Christmas Ale are available for pre-order as part of our First Pour at Home to-go packages. The gift shop will continue to carry 1/6 barrel kegs of Christmas Ale throughout the holiday season. Please call ahead to check availability and pricing. The gift shop can be reached at 216-771-0250.
