The taps are on, the beer is pouring, and class is in session! Head down to Ohio City and expand your beer knowledge at Hop College: Style Exploration. This session's focus? GLBC's fruit beers and beverages! Join Certified Cicerone®️ Great Lakes Brewing Co. staff as we crack open the history and sensory characteristics of our fruit-forward favorites, and taste beverages brewed with passion fruit, peach, watermelon, and everything in between.

Students who enroll in Hop College: Style Exploration will head to the “classroom” where Certified Cicerone®️ Great Lakes Brewing Co. staff will help you tap into a deeper understanding of our seasonal and year round fruit beverages through a guided tasting, complete with sensory analysis, a rundown of the background of these brews, the stories behind GLBC's versions, and more during this crash course on brewing with fruit! There won’t be any textbooks, but we will have plenty of beer to help enhance your learning. We will be tasting:

Mexican Lager with Lime

Crushworthy Lo-Cal Citrus Wheat

Watermelon Crushworthy

Kickaround POG Tart

SunSail Hard Tea

Each Class Admission ticket will include one 7 oz. pour of each beverage, so have those taste buds ready! Students who enroll will receive a special Hop College pokal glass, pictured below. Add-on tickets are also available for an exclusive Hop College notebook and GLBC pen, pictured below the tulip glass.
